Brompton Bicycle - A Line
Originally released as the B75 the A line is the current entry level bike from Brompton. Using a number of the older component designs, featuring only 3 speed gearing and one colour option the bike comes in at £850.
Many have bought these due to the lower price, many as a route to upgrade in time. There are a few great points about this model and a few I question before you buy.

Many have bought these due to the lower price, many as a route to upgrade in time. There are a few great points about this model and a few I question before you buy.
Reasons to buy;
- Price point
- Same main frame / fork / rear triangle as any other C line Brompton.
Question before buying;
- Costly to upgrade; mudguards, folding pedal, brake levers is an easy £200 by the time they are fitted.
- Uses pre 2017 M type stem / bars - post 2017 stem is taller and much stiffer bars.
- Uses pre 2013 brake levers, which result in pretty spongey brake feel!
- Lacking Pump and FCB.
